HOLIDAY IN KOREA DAY 3

20 Nov 2013 Wednesday
The next morning after breakfast at the hotel, we went to an orange farm. The farm has a shop which sells the famous Jeju orange chocolate. Each packet cost 10000 won which is about RM30. Saw an authentic Jeju horse. After taking pictures with the horse, we were taken to the farm where each of us was allowed to cut one orange from any of the trees there.
The horse is like in limited version. The bones of this type of horses are processed to make horse pills which is supposed to strengthened the bones.
So many juicy oranges until didn't know which one to cut.
More oranges
After that we went to Cheonjiyeon Falls. It was a bit of a distance to walk before we could see the waterfall. It was cold and I regretted not bringing my shawl and gloves.
The waterfall that we have to walk quite a distance to see.
The name of the waterfall Chinese. Notice my hands were always in my pockets because they were frozen!
Picture with one of the two horses we saw on the way.
Saw this stone dragon ring along the way and thought it look nice.
A long way to the waterfall. Very windy, very cold.

After there, we went to Oedolgae. We were supposed to enjoy the view of the stone structure jutting out from the sea.Actually not much to see here.
A pic with the stone structure
We were told that this was the place that the Jewel in the Palace's lover used to stand to look at the mainland when he was banished to this place. Romantic, isn't it?
Next on the itinerary was Sunrise Peak

A visit to Folklore Seongeup Folk Village where a true blue Jeju lady gave a talk on her culture and also a sales talk on the efficacy of the horse bones taken by Jeju ladies. For convenience and economy, the bones are now processed into pills. Very expensive.
The horse bone pills which is said to help Jeju lady divers maintain their bones until old age. No problems of arthritis or osteoporosis for them. I didn't buy the product..........however I bought the honey.
Me with the honey we bought.
This village was one of the locations of the drama Jewel in the Palace. Here is a picture of the famous couple.

Next destination was the Glass Castle.
At the Glass Castle, as the name implied, all the things exhibited are mainly made of glass. At the entrance one can see the bean stalk.

The flowers and orange tree are all made of glass.
Imagine owning such a big ring!
Cinderella(s) sitting in the magic pumpkin coach.
Our last destination for the day was Korean Style Sauna. No photo taking allowed in the common bathroom as the ladies were all in their birthday suit. It is normal in Korea for  people of the same sex to bath together. Most of us felt awkward at first but then, what the heck, when in Rome do what the Romans do.........so do what the Koreans do....ha ha. Some of us cheated and went straight to the Suana Room without bathing first. My daughter and I enjoyed soaking ourselves in the warm common pool after washing ourselves clean. We took pictures in the sauna room using Ms Tan ML's camera. She was the only one who remembered to bring along a camera while the rest of us forgot.
A bit blur but better than nothing.

Slices of really fat meat make up our dinner

After dinner it was back to the hotel. With that ended our 3rd day of activities in Korea.
